Why Agentic AI is About to Change Everything

Tom Barber:

Hey, everyone. Welcome to the AI briefing, short snippets of AI news and insight to cut through the noise. We need to talk about something that's about to completely transform how we work and interact with technology, and it's called AgenTik AI. And if you haven't heard of it yet, you will soon. This isn't just another tech buzzword.

Tom Barber:

This is the next major evolution of artificial intelligence, and businesses that ignore it are gonna get left behind. So let's dive in. So first, what even is Agentic AI? Well, think about the AI tools you're probably using right now. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini.

Tom Barber:

These are all generative AI tools. They're amazing at what they do. But here's the thing. They're reactive. You have to tell them exactly what to do step by step.

Tom Barber:

They're like really they're like a really smart assistant who sits there waiting for you to give them instructions. Now AgenTek AI is different. It has two game changing capabilities, agency and action. With agency, it can plan, adapt, and make decisions toward a goal without you holding its hand through every step. And with action, it doesn't just suggest what to do.

Tom Barber:

It actually executes and gets things done. So we're talking about a fundamental shift from AI that waits to be told what to do to AI that proactively works towards your goals. And that, of course, is huge. And this isn't some far off future thing. You can already experience it right now.

Tom Barber:

There are already agentic browsers running. Perplexity is Comet, Google's DeepMind Mariner, and OpenAI just released their GPT ChatGPT agent, which can be used to call operator. These aren't just search engines that give you information. They're collaborators that complete entire tasks for for you from start to finish. Book a flight, done.

Tom Barber:

Research projects, compare prices, and make a purchase all within one conversation. No more jumping between 10 different tabs and apps. And here's what's happening. Once people experience the seamless and single entry point experience in their personal lives, their expectations are gonna be completely reset. They're looking they're going to look at clunky multi app workflows at their jobs and think, why am I tolerating this?

Tom Barber:

And so this brings us to three massive implications for businesses. First, employee expectations are about to skyrocket. When your employees can manage their entire personal lives through one agentic interface while sitting at their desk, how long do you think they'll put up with juggling five different corporate applications just to complete a single task? Companies need to start creating single stream work experiences now, or they're gonna have serious retention problems. Second, human AI workflows need to be redesigned.

Tom Barber:

Now let's be real. A lot of what we do at work now is low value busy work. It's necessary, but it's not where we add the most value. A Genetic AI can take over those tasks, freeing humans to focus on high value strategic work. But this requires companies to fundamentally rethink their organizational structures, job roles, even leadership philosophies.

Tom Barber:

That's a heavy lift, but the payoff is enormous. Third, your customers aren't just humans anymore. Companies need to expand their definition of customers to include AI agents because increasingly purchasing decisions are gonna be made by agents on behalf of humans. OpenAI already introduced instant checkout where you can buy products without ever leaving ChatGPT. If your business isn't optimized for AI AI agents to find you understand your offerings, and compete transactions, you're gonna be invisible in the channels where decisions are actually happening.

Tom Barber:

Now I want to be clear. Audentica AI isn't perfect yet. The tools can be uneven, and they make mistakes. But that's not a reason to wait. It's a reason to start experimenting now.

Tom Barber:

Start small, identify where agents can deliver value today, and track how the technology evolves. The biggest challenge to leaders, letting go of existing processes, especially processes that might have personally they might have personally designed. The instinct is just to bolt agentic AI onto old workflows, but that is also a mistake. The right question is, what outcome am I trying to achieve, and how should this workflow be re redesigned with AI agents doing the heavy lifting? Bottom line, Agentic AI isn't just another tool in your tech stack.

Tom Barber:

It's changing who your customers are and how your employees work and where you should be placing your strategic bets. The smartest leaders are already treating AI as a teammate, not just a technology. And the question is, are you ready to make that shift? Let me know in the comments. Have you tried any AgenTik AI tools yet?
